You sure can! Wearing make up with extensions as a general is perfectly fine, as long as you are cleaning your lashes regularly. However, it is typically recommended to use oil free products especially around the eye area. This will ensure that the longevity of the lash extension isn’t compromised.
do lash extensions damage my natural lashes?
Eyelash extensions do not damage your natural lashes when applied correctly. An extension will be applied to an individual adult lash, an appropriate length and weight will be utilized to ensure the integrity of your natural lashes.
how often should i come in for a fill?
Depending on your natural lash shedding cycle, and skin care routine, 2-3 weeks re-fill is typically required to up keep a full set of lashes. Waiting to long to get a fill you may require a full set, we recommend getting re fills regularly. other factors that can play into possible pre mature shedding, consistently touching your eyes/ extensions, season change and humidity. You should return to your re fills with 40-50% of your extensions. Re- fills take about 45 - 60 minutes.
can i wear mascara with my eyelash extensions?
No, the use of mascara is not recommended when wearing lash extensions. Oil based substances are no friend to your extensions , as most mascara are oil based - subsequently causing your lash extension to detach prematurely. Typically lash extensions replace the need for mascara by creating the illusion of mascara based look with darker longer lashes.
what is a patch test
A patch test is the best way to determine how your eyes will react to lash extensions. Collagen eye pads will be placed under the eye to insure there is no reaction to the skin from the serum infused pads. 5-10 lash extensions will then be applied to each eye. If any reaction occurs within 24 hours of your patch test, this is a sign of sensitivity / allergy .
